In a colorful and culture-rich setting at Batpora, Kunzer, Tabeeb Handicrafts Producer Company Limited hosted a 10-day exhibition-cum-sale under the National Handicrafts Development Programme (NHDP). This initiative brought together artisans and customers in a direct, vibrant interface, celebrating the diversity and beauty of Kashmiri handicrafts.
Market Linkage: Provide a platform for artisans to directly sell to local and tourist buyers.
Product Promotion: Showcase GI-tagged crafts like Pashmina, Sozni, and Crewel embroidery.
Economic Support: Enable artisans to earn fair prices without middlemen.
Cultural Revival: Encourage youth and community participation in traditional crafts.
Discounted Access: Offer hand-embroidered garments and accessories at affordable rates.
Variety of Products: The stalls featured Pashmina shawls, stoles, pharans, ladies suits, Aari stoles, and handcrafted kurtas.

“Selling directly helped me understand customer preferences and build confidence,” said JMasroofa , a Sozni artisan from Kralweth.
“These exhibitions are a great way to support handmade work and buy original pieces,” shared a local buyer.
