The Craft Demonstration Cum Awareness Programme (CDAP) by Tabeeb Handicrafts Producer Company Limited, under the National Handicrafts Development Programme (NHDP), is a powerful platform to preserve traditional crafts while empowering local artisans in Jammu & Kashmir. The second batch of this programme was held in October 2023 and featured dynamic sessions focused on craft awareness, entrepreneurship, and heritage promotion.
Established in November 2022, Tabeeb Handicrafts Producer Company Limited is a Section 8 enterprise dedicated to promoting artisan-led handicraft businesses in Kashmir. With its headquarters in Magam, Baramulla, and led by directors Bilal Ahmad Mir, Tahira Farooq, Masroofa Hassan, Javid Ahmad Rather, and Ghulam Mohiuddin Rather, the company is known for its commitment to Sozni embroidery and other traditional crafts. Tabeeb Handicrafts offers handcrafted shawls, stoles, pharans, and suits in materials like pashmina, cotton, and silk.
